Ty Hiraeth New Development Progress

Coming Soon New Carmarthenshire Development Ty Hiraeth – Opening in May 2021.
Ty Hiraeth development is now well underway and considerable progress has been made, since breaking ground back in October 2020.

Alongside our local flagship service Ynystawe Lodge, we took on board feedback from individuals, families and care teams to design a similar service, based in Carmarthenshire. This specialist enhanced accommodation will support individuals that services have found challenging to effectively meet the needs within other community placements. This model of support offers the use of positive interventions within individually designed environments, to enable and support people who have very complex and challenging needs. The service will provide communal living and facilities specific to high-risk environmental need. We can adapt the property to meet individual needs, and have in place the appropriate organisational structure to support complex needs.
 

Ty Hiraeth is situated within a Carmarthenshire village, the main building is made up of two complexes, one with 5 self-contained flats and the other with 4 self-contained flats. There is also a specially designed bungalow containing 2 self-contained flats and private gardens. The Bungalow offers accommodation away from the main building whilst retaining use of the communal facilities available. The accommodation offered at Ty Hiraeth, staff support and assistive technology can all be adapted to meet individual needs.

We have been very fortunate to work with and alongside commissioners, health and social care professionals and families to develop individual bespoke care packages and adapt to meet assessed needs. We look forward to working with new teams and welcoming new people to our services.
