About Glannant Road
Glannant Road is a first step community placement for individuals who do not need the controls of the residential home but need support around daily living within a group service, rather than their own flats.
At Glannant Road, we can provide support to individuals with mental health and learning disabilities. Glannant Road can accept temporary and emergency admissions based on need and availability. There is a continual staff presence 24 hours a day, who are based in an office on the premises. Staff at Glannant Road have access to an on-call manager and nurse when required. The support we provide can be as hands-on as required; individuals can receive up to 24 hours of targeted 1:1 support based on need.
Individuals living at Glannant Road will have access to support around daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning and shopping. Budgeting and money management support is available for those who require it. Additional support is offered for those who require this and it can be a place to gain confidence to learn the skills of independent living before moving into their own accommodation.
Glannant Road offers 5 single occupancy bedrooms equipped with double beds and provides either en-suite or shared facilities. Each room is fully furnished with a bed, mattress, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The communal areas of the home are also furnished – if an individual would like to furnish their own areas, we will provide support with this. Individuals have access to a communal kitchen, lounge and outdoor patio area, and a staff area is located in the basement of the residence.
Glannant Road is well placed in the town of Carmarthen and is just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Carmarthen train station is less than a mile away and offers frequent services throughout the day, providing good transport links to surrounding areas. There is plenty to do in the local area; a cinema is under a 10 minute walk away, there is a bowling alley nearby, as well as restaurants, shops, supermarkets and parks, which hold local events throughout the year.
