Dignity Action Day!

Today is Dignity Action Day, at M&D Care we are committed to providing the very best level of care and dignity for all the people we support. We are proud to pledge our support.

Across our services today, our staff and people we support will be constructing our very own dignity tree – highlighting what ‘Dignity’ means to them. Dignity Action Day aims to ensure people who use care services are treated as individuals and are given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives.

Happy Anniversary Ynystawe Lodge!

Ynystawe Lodge is one our newest services and has been specifically designed to offer enhanced accommodation for behaviours that challenge. This week the service celebrated its first anniversary. It’s been a challenging year however the staff team have worked above and beyond what is expected of them. We have all been inspired by their personal commitment and we have seen the foundations of our values shine through, with everyone, committed to ensuring the people we support are safe, well and happy.

Ynystawe Lodge would like to take this opportunity to thank all staff, senior support team and management for providing such high standards of care for all the people we support. We would also like to thank all the families, health and social care partners for their ongoing support and collaborative working during this challenging time. We cannot thank you all enough for supporting us this year.
Here’s to another amazing year at Ynystawe Lodge.

Social Care Covid Vaccination Roll Out Begins!

It’s been a challenging start to 2021 for everybody.

With the restrictions, and the country going into Lockdown it’s been difficult time for all.

But we are able to share some positive news, our staff have been booking and attending their first Covid19 vaccination. For our services, and as care providers we are delighted to be able to take this positive step forward to a brighter future for everyone.

We are truly grateful to the wonderful NHS staff looking after us during this time, and once again we would like to thank our own staff for their dedication and support during this difficult time.

Christmas e-card Competition 2020, Winner Announcement

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Christmas e-card Competition 2020. We have been overwhelmed with the number of fantastic entries received, which has made our judging process extremely difficult. Unfortunately there can be only one winner and we are pleased to announce this year’s winner is Ella Morgan aged 13, who will be receiving her Play Station 4 just in time for Christmas. Due to such a high standard we also have selected 14 entries to receive a runners up prize.
Ella’s entry represents the current Christmas COVID situation perfectly and even Santa is taking the guidelines very seriously. Congratulations Ella and a big thank you to all participants.
